Cosmic Black

Frequently asked questions

Is Cosmic Black granite suitable as a kitchen worktop for an active home?

Yes – granite is one of the best kitchen worktop materials thanks to its hardness and heat resistance. Cosmic Black withstands the strain of daily use excellently and does not scratch easily, even from sharp utensils.

How does Cosmic Black differ from a quartz worktop?

Cosmic Black is natural stone with an organic, living mineral pattern – every slab is different. A quartz worktop is a factory-made composite material with a more uniform pattern. Granite withstands heat better but requires regular impregnation to maintain its moisture protection.

Do all Cosmic Black slabs look the same?

No. As a natural stone, granite has natural variation in the position of minerals, crystals and shade. This makes every worktop unique – just as nature intended.

How easy is it to care for Cosmic Black?

Very easy. Daily cleaning is done with a damp cloth and mild detergent. We recommend impregnation about once a year so that the granite keeps its natural moisture protection. Avoid acidic cleaning products.

Can Cosmic Black be used as a bathroom stone worktop?

Yes. Granite is moisture-resistant (especially after impregnation) and is excellent as a bathroom top. The dark, sparkling surface creates a luxurious contrast with light furniture in the bathroom.
