Atlas Plan

Atlas Plan is the large-slab programme of the Italian Atlas Concorde group, one of Europe's leading porcelain manufacturers. Its big-format slabs bring marble, stone, concrete and metal looks to kitchen worktops, islands and full-height walls — with the heat and stain resistance of fired porcelain.

Atlas Plan — architectural porcelain from Atlas Concorde

Atlas Plan slabs come from the Atlas Concorde group, an Italian manufacturer whose porcelain has been specified in demanding architectural projects for decades. The large-slab programme applies that industrial expertise to surfaces for kitchens and interiors: big formats, tight thickness tolerances, and high-definition graphics that let a Calacatta vein or a rusted-metal texture run naturally across the full sheet.

The design catalogue is one of the broadest we carry. Marble looks span bright Calacatta and Statuario whites through smoky greys to near-black dramatic stones; alongside them sit honest concrete surfaces, warm limestone tones and contemporary metal effects. Most designs are offered in more than one finish, so the same look can be silk-matt on a worktop and textured on a feature wall.

For worktops we fabricate Atlas Plan in 12 mm, with mitred edges when a thicker visual profile is wanted; thinner slabs serve splashbacks and cladding. See what is currently available on the Atlas Plan category page or survey the whole ceramic range for comparison.

Care and cleaning

Porcelain asks for almost nothing. Daily wiping with warm water and mild detergent keeps the surface fresh; a non-abrasive ceramic cleaner handles dried-on marks. Vinegar, citrus and common household chemicals do not etch the surface, and there is no sealing schedule — ever — because there is nothing porous to protect.

Sensible habits still apply: use a board when chopping to spare your knife edges, and avoid striking unsupported slab edges with heavy cast iron. With those two courtesies, an Atlas Plan worktop will look essentially unchanged after a decade of family cooking.

Measurement, fabrication and installation

We measure on site with laser templating, machine every cut-out and edge at our own factory, and install with our own crew. Delivery and installation in Finland — 10 working days from measurement. Because fabrication happens in-house, the promised schedule is ours to keep, not a subcontractor’s.

Frequently asked questions

What sets Atlas Plan apart from other porcelain slab brands?

Mainly the breadth and character of the design catalogue and the consistency that comes from one of Italy’s largest porcelain groups. Performance-wise it matches the best of the sintered category, so the decision usually rests on which design speaks to you.

Can the same design continue from worktop to wall?

Yes — that continuity is a core idea of the programme. Many designs exist in both worktop and cladding thicknesses, so an island top, splashback and feature wall can share one uninterrupted look with joints kept to a minimum.

Is porcelain a good choice next to a hob?

One of the best. The slab was fired at temperatures far beyond anything a kitchen produces, so radiant heat and hot cookware do not mark it. Splashback use directly behind gas or induction hobs is completely unproblematic.

How do I get a slab layout for my kitchen?

Send us your kitchen drawing through the quote request form. We plan slab usage and seam placement before anything is cut, show you the layout for approval, and then template the cabinets on site to lock in exact dimensions before fabrication begins at our factory.
