The pattern is planned before cutting

When a slab has veining or a distinct structure, the positions of the joints and the direction of the pattern decide the result. We mark the cutting lines digitally at our factory in Tallinn on the basis of the laser measurement, so that the pattern continues naturally down the side of the island and into the splashback and no vein breaks off in the middle of the worktop. With us, Caesarstone means a short chain: the slab, CNC machining and installation come from the same house, and the same responsible person handles the measurement, the machining schedule and the installation in Finland. 13,000+ completed projects have taught us which details are worth deciding already at the measurement: undermounted or top-mounted sink, distance from the hob to the edge, support for the island overhang, and where the joint is placed so that it stays short and unnoticeable. Once these are agreed, nothing needs adjusting on installation day.

Which Caesarstone is right for you?

Caesarstone’s collections are recognisably restrained. The Classico series is uniform, fine-grained basic shades from white to grey and black; it is the most effortless in terms of joints and pattern, and often the choice when the star of the kitchen is the cabinetry rather than the worktop. The Supernatural series brings the look of marble and natural stone: soft, slightly hazy veining on a white or light base that works on a large island and continues into the splashback. The Metropolitan series is a matt collection with the feel of concrete, stone and rough plaster — often alongside dark oak doors, a black tap and steel. The Outdoor series is designed for outdoor use and UV light, so a covered barbecue kitchen worktop can also be done in Caesarstone. The finish options are polished, matt and rough; matt and rough show fingerprints and grease more readily than polished, so we go through the difference with samples at the measurement. Caesarstone in the kitchen, bathroom and elsewhere

Large islands are Caesarstone’s most natural use: the restrained pattern holds the eye even on a big surface. The kitchen worktop and splashback are often made from the same slab. On a bathroom vanity top and in the utility room the non-porous surface does not absorb water or cosmetics, and tap holes are drilled at the factory. Windowsills and table tops are also suitable. We do not install the indoor series outdoors — for that there is the Outdoor series or ceramic. All sites are laser-measured in Finland, machined at our own factory and installed by the same team.

What makes up the price of a Caesarstone worktop?

The series, the slab thickness, the dimensions of the worktop, the edge profile, the cut-outs and the difficulty of the installation site. Supernatural veining costs more than Classico basic shades, and the Outdoor series is priced as its own group. A large island without a joint may require a whole slab even if square metres are left over — we tell you that at the measurement. We give a fixed quote after the measurement, when we also know the number of joints. Removal, appliance and electrical connections and plumbing are priced separately. Got a quote from elsewhere? Care and durability in everyday life

Caesarstone cleans with water and a mild detergent; sealing is not needed, because the surface is non-porous. It stands up well to scratches and stains in everyday life, but hot cookware is not set straight on the surface — a trivet is part of life with a quartz worktop. Matt and rough-finish shades are wiped free of grease more often than polished ones. Avoid oven cleaners and strong solvents. How soon is a Caesarstone worktop ready?

Delivery and installation in Finland — 10 working days from measurement. The schedule holds because machining is done at our own factory rather than in a queue at an outside operator. The installation date is agreed at the measurement, and we tell you what needs to be ready on site: carcasses fixed and levelled, sink and hob on hand or their dimensions known.

Can I claim the household deduction for installing a Caesarstone worktop?

You can claim the kotitalousvähennys (household deduction) for the installation work. We itemise the labour share as a separate line on the invoice, and you claim the deduction yourself in OmaVero. The deduction covers labour only, not the slab or transport. Check the current terms and maximum amounts on vero.fi before ordering.

How is the joint placed in a Caesarstone island?

Primarily so that it is not needed: many islands fit in a single slab. If a joint is needed, we place it at the sink or hob, where the visible part stays short, and bond it with a tinted filler. With Supernatural veining we plan the direction of the pattern so that the vein continues across the joint.

Caesarstone or ceramic?

In an indoor kitchen where a restrained concrete or marble look and a warm feel are wanted, Caesarstone is the natural choice. If hot pans are set straight on the worktop or the worktop is going outdoors without cover, ceramic withstands more. We compare both with samples — also read ceramic worktop or quartz worktop.
