Avant Quartz — engineered stone with a consistent character
Avant Quartz is an engineered quartz surface made by binding crushed natural quartz with polymer resin and pigments under vacuum and pressure. Because colour and pattern are controlled during production, every slab in a series looks the same. That consistency matters when a kitchen needs several worktop pieces, an island top and a matching splashback: the joints line up quietly and the surfaces read as one continuous material.
The collection runs from calm single-colour whites, creams and greys to marble-look designs with soft veining. This range is a frequent choice in Finnish kitchens because it pairs equally well with matt lacquered cabinet fronts, oak veneer and painted classics. The surface arrives polished and stays that way — engineered quartz never needs sealing or waxing, and its colour does not fade with normal indoor use.

Care and cleaning
Daily care takes seconds: wipe the surface with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid, then dry with a soft cloth. For dried-on spots, a non-abrasive cream cleaner works well. Avoid strong solvents, oven cleaners and anything containing hydrofluoric acid, and skip scouring pads that could dull the polish over years of use.
Two habits keep an engineered quartz top looking new for decades: use a trivet under pots that come straight off the hob, because sudden extreme heat can mark the resin content, and cut on a board rather than directly on the stone — mainly to protect your knives, which lose their edge quickly against quartz.
Measurement, fabrication and installation
Every Avant Quartz project follows the same path: we measure the cabinets on site with a laser template, cut and edge the slabs at our own factory, machine the sink and hob openings, and install the finished tops. Frequently asked questions
Is Avant Quartz suitable for a kitchen worktop?
Yes — this is exactly what the material is designed for. The non-porous surface shrugs off everyday spills, the quartz content resists scratching, and the controlled colour makes it easy to match an island, a run of base cabinets and a splashback from the same series.
Does Avant Quartz need sealing?
No. Unlike granite or marble, engineered quartz is non-porous straight from the factory and never needs sealing, impregnation or waxing. Routine cleaning with water and mild detergent is the entire maintenance programme for the life of the worktop.
Can I place hot pans directly on the surface?
Brief contact with warm cookware is not a problem, but we recommend a trivet for pots and pans straight off the hob or out of the oven. The resin that binds the quartz can discolour under sudden extreme heat, and a trivet removes that risk entirely.
How does Avant Quartz differ from natural stone?
Natural granite and quartzite are quarried, so every slab is unique and the stone benefits from periodic sealing. Avant Quartz is manufactured, which gives it uniform colour, guaranteed availability of matching slabs and a maintenance-free surface — at the cost of the one-of-a-kind patterning that only nature produces.
